Climate change has been an issue that concerned the Global community for many years now. Although there are some out there who say "climate change is not real," the scientific community has come out to say that it is definitely real and it is changing the way of life on the Earth.
"The polar ice caps will melt, the seas will start to rise, and there will be more dangerous weather patterns: floods, droughts, wildfires. It sounded like some nightmare-ish scientific fiction film. Except he said is real and its happening right now."-- Leonardo DiCaprio
When the Earth's temperature increases, the ice cap in the Arctic melts, hurricanes begin to appear stronger and more frequently in the South Atlantic, and droughts. Sound familiar? These things have already begun.
In addition, the climate changes are beginning to modify the genetic patterns, breeding patterns and the amount of certain species (less or more) of animals and plants.
The documentary, Before the Flood, is the journey of Academy Award winning actor Leonardo DiCaprio who travels the world to talk to scientists, world leaders and people who are trying to save the Earth before its all too late. Before the Flood has been released for free on many media outlets including YouTube, which I have included below. It is a wonderful film that shows that we need to start addressing climate change to not save ourselves but everything else that nature provides including the views, the animals and everything else that coexists with us. We are all interdependent and must start acknowledging we are in it together in order to survive as a global community.
